EXCLUSIVE: No question of Tejashwi resigning, says Lalu on Nitish's 4-day ultimatum

Lalu Prasad Yadav

In his first interview after last week's CBI raids on his family and associates, the former Bihar CM categorically ruled out Tejashwi resigning from Nitish Kumar's Cabinet.
Hours after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumargave 4-day ultimatum to his deputy Tejashwi Yadav to come out clean of corruption allegations in land-for-hotel case, RJD chief Lalu Yadav has come out in support of minister son.
In his first interview after last week's CBI raids on his family and associates, the former Bihar CM categorically ruled out Tejashwi resigning from Nitish Kumar's Cabinet.
Lalu described the CBI raids as part of a conspiracy hatched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah to "finish off him and his party - RJD".
"Tejashwi was a minor...cricket player when the hotel deal was finalised. These are baseless allegations," he said.

HERE'S WHAT ALL LALU SAID:

Tejashwi is being targeted because he is doing a great job. We are not perturbed by the attacks and will continue our fight against the BJP.
There is no question of him resigning. People of Bihar have given Tejashwi a responsibility and he is doing his duty well.
The ruling party is using all central agencies - CBI, ED, Income Tax Department - to target me. Everything is being done on the directives of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
The BJP is nervous and trying to break the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) by luring Nitish Kumar. But they will never succeed.
I transformed loss making Indian Railways into a profitable organisation. The turnaround was appreciated across the world.
Sushil Kumar Modi is just a puppet, he speaks what the central leadership asks him to. Why the BJP is silent on Madhya Pradesh Vyapam scam, Babri mosque demolition. Cases have been filed against several leaders at the Centre, including PM Modi and Amit Shah. Why there has been no action on them?
Sharad Yadav, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Mayawati all are with me and together we will not let the BJP succeed in its plans.
