What to wear on V-day no matter where you're going

Valentines's Day is fast-approaching, so to give you a helping hand in de-cluttering your thought on what to wear on the V-Day, we've rounded up some essentials of Valentine's fashion you must keep in mind.
Whether you're going out with your squad or heading out for a romantic date with someone special, dressing the part right can make all the difference to the day.
Here's a comprehensive guide to nail the perfect look to flaunt your love this 14th of February.

Essentials: Selecting the outfit

"Picking the right outfit for Valentine's Day can be the hardest thing" says Sonal Abrol, COO of Saiesta fashion label. So, how do we make it an easy task? "Know where you are going and what you're doing," she tells.

If you're going for a romantic dinner you can choose a cute, slightly formal outfit, or even a sexy red dress and pair it with high heels and a clutch purse. If you're planning to go on a picnic or something during the day, wear something more casual, like a cute crop-top with your favourite denim and gladiator sandals or heeled boots and complete your look with sunglasses.
Since red is the colour of the day, make sure you add a dash of red to your look, like red coat, shoes, red skirt or top, scarf, nails or just the red lipstick!

How To Get The Red Look Right

There's no Valentine's without the colour 'red'. Red rose, red heart-shaped balloon, red lipstick and the infamous red dress.
-Red is gorgeous, risque but at the same time elegant when done right. For centuries, the red dress had become symbolic of the V-Day. But, with fashion today being more experimental, you could give your red dress a break by trying a classy red embellished jumpsuit or a delicate red shift dress with white diamonds. Red spiked pumps can add that extra ooomph.

"A red maxi dress with a black or blue crop embellished jacket with red lipstick and black pump, or even a sequined crop top with off-white maxi skirt can make you look stunning and be the star of the Valentine's Day party,

Pairing a red statement necklace with your beige colour dress, red heels and lipstick can also create the desired magic!

If you have a hot pink dress that flatters your body, you can wear that with sexy heels and plenty of mascara to look amazing and feel great.

How To Rock the Little Black Dress?

If black is the colour you go to for any fashion dilemma, you may want to double check your style staple if you want to look stunning at the Valentine's Day party. Of course, you will opt for the classy little black dress but let the LBD make a drooling statement with the following tips:

Pair it with a red bag and pumps.
- Add a bold statement necklace or a neon necklace to your elegant black dress along with a leather jacket for a not-so-formal look.
- But if you have the classic Audrey Hepburn look on your mind, pair your little black dress with diamond or pearl earrings and necklace, and complete your look with black pumps and red lipstick.
- For a true blue Hollywood glam look, wear black or white gloves with your black dress and high heels. This one's for the risk-takers.
- If you are one of those, who likes to flaunt their curves, a black bodycon dress is the perfect choice. Give it a red crop jacket and red pumps treatment for a sexy look.

Bored of black and red? Try these:

Pink: There are plenty of options in different hues of pink, like fuchsia, to look feminine yet flirty on Valentine's Day this year.

Purple: You can wear a gorgeous purple lace or silk strapless dress and look absolutely stunning by paring it with the right accessories and footwear.

Blue: Make a sensational style statement in a sequined blue long sleeves fit-and-flare lace dress with pearl accessory or a velvet bodycon dress to look dazzling.

Quick Tip:
Don't apply much foundation, as a more natural look would look best. You can totally cut out powder, unless your skin is particularly oily.
Give the smokey eye look a chance this day!
Remember to spray on some gorgeous perfume but don't bathe in it.
