“Baleno exports commenced for Japan from India, a part of Make-In-India Campaign. Export of Baleno will strengthen India's role as a manufacturing hub... Vitara Brezza is our statement to create in India,” Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India said.
He added that the Vitara Brezza has been conceptualised, designed and developed in India using a Suzuki global platform and engine. The project was lead by Mr. C.V. Raman, executive director R&D of Maruti Suzuki India.
Vitara Brezza will compete against the likes of Mahindra TUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the Indian market.
